A comunidade R está realizando vários esforços de traduções comunitárias para o português de diferentes recursos: livros, pacotes e guias.

Nesta chamada da comunidade, três líderes da comunidade de língua portuguesa apresentarão suas experiências liderando e fazendo parte desses projetos e compartilharão como podemos participar desses esforços.

Essa chamada da comunidade será seguida por uma reunião de tradução na LatinR, a conferência latino-americana de R para pesquisa e desenvolvimento, para aqueles que quiserem começar a participar.

Beatriz Milz

Beatriz Milz é doutora em Ciência Ambiental e atualmente é pesquisadora de pós-doutorado na Universidade Federal do ABC (UFABC), Brasil. Ela é co-organizadora da R-Ladies São Paulo e está liderando o tradução voluntária pela comunidade da segunda edição do livro R for Data Science into Portuguese. Beatriz contribuiu para pacotes disponíveis no CRAN, como dados, odbr, e geobr. Como membra da comunidade rOpenSci, ela revisou pacotes como qualR e frictionless, foi mentora na primeira turma do rOpenSci Champions Program atua como editora de revisão de software

Pedro Faria

Economista e Data Platform Engineer em Blip. Além de ser um profissional experiente no mercado de dados, usando principalmente R, SQL, Python, Databricks e Apache Spark, Pedro também é apaixonado por open-source, e é autor de vários livros abertos como Introdução à linguagem R: seus fundamentos e sua prática, Introduction to pyspark, e Introduction to Zig: a project-based book. Francesca Palmeira

Francesca Palmeira é uma mistura de bióloga de campo e de computador. Tem experiência em Ecologia Aplicada, Modelagem Ecológica e Biologia da Conservação. Trabalha com as linguagens R e BUGS. Presta serviços em análise e visualização de dados socioambientais e de biodiversidade por meio da analisaR. É coorganizadora das RLadies Ribeirão Preto. Participa do rOpenSci Champions Program 2023-2024 e como parte deste treinamento está desenvolvendo o pacote pcir (Potential for Conflict Index in R) para medir o potencial de conflito entre grupos de interesse.
